About Charles W. Fallow

Charlie graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1967 with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He was a design engineer for Ford Motor Company (Transmission Division) and Texas Instruments (infrared scanners) before serving with the Army Corps of Engineers in Vietnam.  

After returning to the U.S. Charlie received a J.D. from American University's Washington College of Law. He is a registered patent attorney, a member of the bars of Virginia and the District of Columbia, and is admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. 

In 1990, Charlie moved from Hoffman, Wasson, Fallow and Gitler in Arlington, Virginia to Shoemaker and Mattare, where he was a partner for 25 years. He has concentrated on patent prosecution, obtaining over 1500 patents in diverse technologies including medical devices, oil production, ultrasound systems, poulty and grain processing, computer hardware and softward, business method and fiberoptics.
